How this one is built
Top layer hide
We selected a softer top-layer cowhide for this build. The wine dye runs deep into the grain, giving the leather a supple temper that relaxes over months of use without thinning out at the base corners.
Interior divider layout
The main compartment splits into two open sections separated by a full-length zip partition pocket. We added a large slip pocket and two smaller side pockets along the interior walls to separate keys, coins, and phones.
Base hardware and closure
Four solid silver-tone metal feet protect the wide base leather from dirty countertops. Up top, a smooth metal zip spans the opening, keeping the bag secure when carried by the 7.48-inch drop handle.
Shoulder strap range
The detachable leather shoulder strap adjusts from 45.66 to 51.57 inches end to end. Swivel clips latch onto the side rings quickly, allowing a clean transition between hand carry and crossbody wear on longer walks.
Carrying it
The bag sits at the hip. This is where most of ours land. At 12.5″ by 8.2″ across the face and 5.5″ deep, it comes to about 558 cubic inches inside. That is enough for 11-inch tablet, long wallet and a phone.
