How this one is built
Vegetable-tanned hide
We chose vegetable-tanned cowhide with a pre-distressed surface. The brown tone carries subtle shade variations across the grain. It takes daily friction well, darkening along the edges instead of showing raw wear.
Four exterior zip pockets
You get four separate zip openings on the outside, including a flat security pocket against the back panel. Inside, our brown lining houses an extra zippered pocket to keep small brass keys and coins separated.
Two interchangeable straps
The bag includes an adjustable narrow leather strap running from 38.97 to 48 inches, plus a wide patterned woven webbing strap. Both clip on with solid gunmetal-tone swivel clasps to match the metal zippers.
Weight and proportion
At exactly one pound empty, the body stays light across your shoulder. The structured base prevents the sides from collapsing inward when you set it down half filled with a phone, small notebook, and wallet.
Carrying it
The bag sits at the hip. This is where most of ours land. At 9.1″ by 7.1″ across the face and 3.5″ deep, it comes to about 227 cubic inches inside. That is enough for long wallet and a phone.
