We cut this vertical phone bag from black vegetable-tanned cowhide that takes on a softer sheen as you carry it. How this one is built
Vegetable-tanned black hide
We selected full cowhide dyed a deep black that resists visible scuffs and slowly develops a rich patina. The leather holds its shape when empty and wipes clean with a damp cloth.
Pocket layout and RFID lining
The front zip compartment holds four card slots backed with an RFID-blocking layer to prevent unauthorized scans. Behind it, the main compartment contains a dedicated rear coin pocket alongside space for a phone and keys.
Two interchangeable straps
We include a matching leather strap that adjusts from 46.46 to 55.91 inches and a wide 1.38-inch webbing strap. Both clip directly onto the side D-rings so you can switch between shoulder and crossbody wear.
Gunmetal hardware and lining
Tough gunmetal zips glide smoothly across both openings. Inside, we stitched a light khaki polyester lining so you can locate small items at the bottom of the compartments quickly.
Carrying it
A long drop that puts the bag past the hip bone. At 5.9″ by 7.5″ across the face and 2.6″ deep, it comes to about 113 cubic inches inside. That is a pocket bag, not a work bag.
