We built this satchel from top-grain cowhide treated for a distressed vintage finish. The bench measurements are 13.38 inches long by 5.7 inches deep and 9.4 inches tall, weighing 2.1 pounds empty. How this one is built

Top-grain pull-up leather

We select top-layer cowhide with an intentional vintage temper. The surface lightens slightly when flexed and returns as the oils settle. Surface marks blend into the brown dye instead of peeling or flaking.

Interior divider pockets

The main compartment opens on a polyester lining fitted with two zip pockets and one open slip pocket. An exterior zip pocket sits on the back panel to keep smaller items against your side.

Gunmetal fittings and feet

We set four gunmetal studs into the reinforced base to lift the hide off dirty floors and tables. The zips, dog-lead clips, and handle rivets share the same dark metal tone throughout.

Removable long strap

Twin rolled handles sit in the palm, or you can clip on the matching leather shoulder strap. It extends to 49.92 inches for cross-body carry, with room to punch extra holes if needed.

Carrying it

The bag sits at the hip. This is where most of ours land. At 13.4″ by 9.4″ across the face and 5.7″ deep, it comes to about 717 cubic inches inside. That is enough for 13-inch laptop, sheet of A4 or letter paper, 11-inch tablet, water bottle standing upright, long wallet and a phone.
