We built this compact sling from supple cowhide in a deep, natural brown that will pick up a soft gloss with daily wear. It measures 7.48 inches long, 3.94 inches deep, and 11.81 inches tall, weighing 1.08 pounds on our bench. The patterned boho strap clips on easily and adjusts between 31.5 and 55.3 inches to wear across the chest or over one shoulder.

How this one is built

Top-layer hide

We selected a full top-layer cowhide for this piece. The brown shade hides surface scuffs well and cleans up with a dry cloth, while the structure stays upright when set down on a table.

Anti-theft zipper tabs

Both the main and front zip compartments feature pull tabs that latch directly to metal D-rings. Inside, five dedicated card slots block RFID scanning signals to protect your personal cards in busy transit spaces.

Turn-knob front compartment

We fitted the lower front compartment with a custom metal turn-knob instead of a standard hook clasp. It twists open smoothly with one hand and fastens securely so quick-grab items remain enclosed.

Pocket layout

The body houses a front magnetic pocket, front zip pocket, and a zipped main compartment with internal organizers. A discreet rear zip pocket rests against the back panel to hold phones up to 6.9 inches.

Carrying it

At 7.5″ by 11.8″ across the face and 3.9″ deep, it comes to about 348 cubic inches inside. That is enough for water bottle standing upright.
