We cut this bucket satchel from vegetable-tanned cowhide that takes on a rich patina with wear. The bag measures 9.84 inches long, 4.56 inches deep, and 8.46 inches tall. It sits upright on a flat base, holding its shape whether full or carrying light. In daylight, the brown leather shows a deep, warm undertone that conceals everyday handling marks.

How this one is built

Vegetable-tanned hide

We select vegetable-tanned leather for its supple temper and natural grain. The surface softens under hand oils over months of use. Small scuffs blend into the brown dye, giving the satchel an honest, worn finish as it ages.

Dual strap options

Two straps clip onto the side rings. Use the fixed 45 inch strap to carry it on the shoulder, or switch to the adjustable band that runs from 37 to 46.85 inches for cross-body wear.

Interior layout

The main compartment is split into two sections lined with smooth coffee polyester fabric. It isolates your phone and wallet from keys and smaller loose items, so you do not have to dig around the base.

Double top closure

We fitted the main opening with a smooth nylon zip under an external strap secured by an antique bronze swivel buckle. Both closures keep the bucket opening tidy and secure without adding unnecessary weight.

Carrying it

The bag sits at the hip. This is where most of ours land. At 9.8″ by 8.5″ across the face and 4.6″ deep, it comes to about 380 cubic inches inside. That is enough for long wallet and a phone.
